FROZEN FOOD R&D-CENTER
Kerevitaş is the first company in Türkiye to have an R&D Center in the frozen food category. The R&D center certificate was obtained by the T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology on 06.09.2017.
The R&D center has a total area of 941, 40 m2. As of 2021, there is a very strong team of 21 people working in the R&D center. Product R&D, packaging R&D, machinery R&D and agricultural R&D units provide scientific data by conducting new product development, product improvement, process development and improvement studies in 3 separate R&D Center Laboratories.
The data obtained from R&D projects are converted into publications, and participation in scientific and academic symposiums is provided. Participation in national and international symposiums, congresses, seminars and presentations are made. Increasing the number of patents and utility models is also among our goals.
OIL R&D CENTER
The Kerevitaş Oil Business Unit, which is the leading oil producer in all business lines in which it operates, including consumer products, out-of-home consumption and export, also leads R&D studies in the oil sector. Kerevitaş YİB R&D Center located in Kurtköy, which received the R&D Center certificate by the T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in 2016, carries out innovative studies with projects of the European Union, TUBITAK and TAGEM realized with the public sector, private sector and university partnerships in the national and international arena and realizes innovative studies that shape the future of not only the oil industry but also the food industry.
INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS
Teremyağ, preferred with its unique butter flavor, which was developed to offer taste to consumers, Teremyağ Gourmet Cream, which brings cream and butter together, Teremyağ Liquid, the only liquid margarine on the market and Luna Butter Flavor combining vegetable oil and butter flavor are the most recent innovative and value-added products of Kerevitaş YİB R&D Center. With the cocoa butter equivalent (CBE, CBI) products with a focus on imported value-added products, chocolate and coating oils, special filling cream oils, high quality CBR oil without trans-fat (Cocoa Butter Replacer) it also implements many innovations in the industrial category. Thanks to its advanced technology and specially developed product recipes, Kerevitaş YİB R&D Center is also the first company in the sector whose entire product portfolio does not contain trans-fats.
The consumer is well listened to on both online and offline platforms, and powerful insights are captured. By analyzing this valuable information, many innovative products that meet consumer needs are developed every year with the cooperation of our strong R&D team and expert chefs.
In 2022 SuperFresh launched, with moves that shaped the sector, Türkiye’s first and only ‘Baba Burger with Sausage’, the «Perfetto Pizza» series with its special layered dough and square shape, baked ‘Turkish Ravioli’, "Ülker Chocolate Pizza Toast", which is prepared in a toaster and brings together the popular Pizza Toast and Ülker Chocolate flavors, «Ton Mix» series consisting of tuna fish and mixed vegetable varieties that offer one healthy meal, «Green Burger» and «Gusto Vegan Burger», which are mainly based on vegetables and special for vegans, «Super Mix», combining the tastes of pizza, potatoes and croquettes and the smiley face potato croquettes 'Smiles Potatoes’.
